Sorry about the short outage for the game server today folks, but we are back in full action.

gizmoguy
Just so you know the server isn't offline, something went wrong with the game query script I guess :/

speedtest.net (tauranga test)
downloads not to bad for me, but with current settings my upload seems to cap  around  65 KB/sec. can get up to about 90kb/sec but gain 10 - 20ms latency in doing so

Nice ping. I'm studying at Massey and this is what I get while I am studying at Uni during the year :P

You still get a nicer ping b****** :P
When I am in Tauranga I am on Kinect (even though it says MaxNet.. Kinect resell MaxNet... its bad I know but my father works for TrustPower which owns Kinects so there is a bit of loyality that I have to have. Good thing about that though is that I can complain directly to management when something goes wrong.
Good news though is that they are thinking of going seperate from MaxNet now that they have a decent customer base :D

Speed and ping wise I think there is actually a problem with the particular cabinet I am on as I know a few people having ping problems in my neighbourhood. Maybe this will improve when we get ADSL2+ early next year. This was taken during the day, might do one later tonight where sometimes we go down to 512k :S

Avenues Tauranga.
Not that far from TGA cenrtral exchange so hoped for better.
Pasting from speed test does not work.  Use Direct Link and IMAGE TOOL (little pic) above

clear are sweet.

I get 9 - 10 ping on my 1st hop
your peformace will be due to either crappy copper leading up to your house or s***ty DSLAM performance
sometimes data routes through a DSLAM can favor a certin ISP hence differing peformance
