Hi all,

Please provide us with feedback on how you found LANfest 2011. Is there anything in particular you would like to see more of? Are there any issues or problems you had?

Would you come to another LANfest within the next 6 months?

Would you consider come to a LANfest in Hamilton for an 80 person LAN?

Cheers

Thanks to Fraggy, Craig, Jono and Brad for making the LAN run as well as we could hope

I enjoyed meeting some old and new people I was AFK most of the time!

Still think we need to use STEAM more effectively to promote the comps and the projector was good only for the prize giving

Any feed back on the TF2 comp would be good. Spec'ing that 1st game was not needed etc, I think we need a Casual Pub style comp next time, as most of the attendees did not know TF2 comp play style. The tf2 update delayed us for an hour and yet the competition still happened.

Can't say minecraft did much for me , but each to there own.

I wouldn't mind running TF2 in a similar way, but yeah, others should be able to join a casual pub match while two teams are playing.

The idea at first was to be running two servers at once, however this didn't work out in the end.

I actually thought that once everyone was a couple of rounds in they were having great fun

Definitely need a pub server running simultaneously though

Anyway shoutout to the LANfest boys it was great fun

Also expecting our current LANfest userbase to mish it to Hamilton might not work out great, I'd probably go but I don't know about others

Hey Guys.

Kudos to you for getting LANfest up and running in such quick time.

Ive heard a couple of complaints about such short notice etc. but hey MASSIVE effort from you guys for another successful LANfest. I enjoyed myself again as I have enjoyed every LANfest so far. As far as TF2 comp went, took a bit of getting used to on the comp format for me, mainly cos I had to play a class I wasn't used to, but stepping outside yer comfort zone is good for the soul.

As for the STEAM update, amazing the effort you guys put in to get us all up to date and STILL get the comp going almost on time.

Lastly WHAT IS LANfest WITHOUT TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES? This LANfest seemed to have fewer proiblems than previous years.

Well done and great job.
